Bragança's City Council is the executive body of the Municipality and its mission is to define and execute policies that promote the sustainable and integral development of the Municipality in different areas of action.
The City Council is composed of seven elected officials, representing the political forces of the PSD and PS, one being the President and six councilors (three with no assigned positions).
The powers of the City Council are enshrined in the Local Authorities Law (Law 75/2013, of September 12), which establishes the legal regime of local authorities.
