Short description
Zur Anpassung der Wasserstraße Neckar an den künftigen Verkehrsstandard soll die Zwillingsschleuse Besigheim grundinstand gesetzt und verlängert werden. Für die Zeit der Planung und den Bau einer neuen Schleuse ist zuvor die linke Schleusenkammer für eine zuverlässige Funktion im laufenden Betrieb zu ertüchtigen.
Die gesamten Verschlüsse einschließlich ihrer Antriebe sowie die Elektro-, Steuerungs- und Nachrichtentechnik sind abgängig. Das mehrteilige Unterhaupttor ist in ein einteiliges Hubtor umzubauen.
Für die große Anzahl an Schaltschränken und ihre erforderliche räumliche Trennung ist der Bau eines neuen Technikgebäudes notwendig.
Für die erforderliche Netzersatzanlage ist ein eigener Standplatz mit Überdachung (Carport) vorgesehen.
Die Gebäudehülle der Maschinenräume und Verbindungsstege sind zur Beseitigung von asbesthaltigen Baustoffen und zur Erleichterung von Wartungsarbeiten zu erneuern.
