Description of the procurement
Am THM-Campus K10 in Gießen soll eine modulare, erweiterbare Anlage zur langzeitigen Energiespeicherung als schlüsselfertige Komplettlösung mit eigenem Elektrolyseur, Gasspeicher und einer Brennstoffzelle zur Rückverstromung installiert werden. Die anfallende Abwärme soll energetisch durch Einbindung in die Gebäude-/Quartierheizung genutzt werden. Darüber hinaus ist geplant einen Dispenser zur Betankung von Wasserstofffahrzeugen in die Anlage zu integrieren. Der Wasserstoffspeicher ermöglicht die saisonale Speicherung des erzeugten grünen Wasserstoffs. Bei Bedarf kann der gespeicherte Wasserstoff für andere Zwecke entnommen werden.
Die Anlage ermöglicht die Demonstration einer grünen H2-Produktion sowie die Speicherung von Grünstrom mittels Power-to-Gas direkt am Campus.
