Short description
Fortum Power and Heat Oy (the Purchaser) is planning to develop a modular heat pump concept for producing district heating. The first heat pump module(s) will be located at Espoo, Finland. Later, the module(s) may be transported and coupled to a bigger heat pump plant as one module of many.
Supplier need to deliver a Modular Heat Pump setup which has at least 3500 kW of cooling capacity (in one or several heat pump modules). Heat pump module is a complete functioning unit which includes all the necessary equipment for producing cooling and district heating. Heat from a fluid network will be supplied to district heating network.

Description of the procurement
Heat pump module is a complete functioning unit which includes project work such as pipework, electrification, process automation, engineering and all the necessary equipment for producing cooling and district heating. Module will be connected to:
- cooling network
- district heating network
- electrical supply
- potable water
- drainage system
- purchaser's upper level automation
Module will be installed outdoors on slab foundations and must be suitable for Nordic climate. Module can be composed of multiple modules which are mechanically connected at the installation location. Modules can be stacked to two levels to save footprint. It is preferable, that the module can be transported to different locations with moderate transportation costs.
The preliminary schedule for the delivery of the heat pump module is set so that the takeover of the plant is in 2023.
